"My experience at SIT has helped me a lot in my current role working on democracy and governance programs with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, an international think tank and development agency. I am managing an entire office and am using a lot of the tools I learned at SIT. Thank you to the SIT faculty for the great courses."
- Steffen Krueger, Country Director, Konrad Adenauer Foundation
SIT's Graduate Certificate in International Education is an ideal program for working professionals looking to establish a strong foundation in and understanding of the field of international education. The program’s low-residency, one-year format enables students to stay in their current jobs and communities while acquiring the theoretical knowledge and professional competencies they identify as critical to their career development.
This program is popular with international education professionals who have a master’s degree in another field and are looking to increase their understanding of international education, as well as with individuals seeking a one-year, low-residency program. The 19-credit curriculum follows the same sequence as the first year of SIT's low-residency MA in International Education program, and students who successfully complete the certificate program can easily continue with SIT’s low-residency master’s program in international education if they so choose.
