Farah Council has worked on international peace and security issues since 2005 and in support of locally led community development and advocacy for more than 15 years. For the better part of the last decade, Farah led the creation and growth of a cross-border group of women peacebuilders from Sudan and South Sudan promoting more inclusive peace processes in and between the two countries. She has worked on more than eight peace and transition processes promoting policy and structural change in support of citizens’ and specifically women’s engagement. Currently, Farah is an adjunct faculty member at SIT Graduate Institute’s Washington, DC Campus and is providing strategic guidance for women’s inclusion to several organizations and parties to peace processes.
