Faculty and Staff:
Kelly Teamey is a filmmaker, writer, educator, and mother. She is an adjunct instructor in education and sustainable development at SIT and co-founder of the nonprofit organization Enlivened Learning. Enlivened Learning arises from a project started in 2012 where Kelly and her partner, Udi Mandel, traveled on a year-long, round-the-world journey to visit with, learn from, and document various places of higher education emerging from indigenous communities and social/ecological movements that are completely reimagining what a university can be. Enlivened Learning aims to act as a bridge between these various “knowledge movements” by co-organizing gatherings through the Ecoversities Alliance, releasing films and other publications to support greater visibility of these inspiring places of higher education and by working with communities more generally to support transformative learning possibilities.
