Wil Burns

Dr. Wil Burns serves as the director of the Center for Land, Environment, and Natural Resources (CLEANR) at the University of California, Irvine School of Law. Previously, he served as founding co-executive director of the Forum for Climate Engineering Assessment, a think-tank within the School of International Service at American University in Washington, DC. He also serves as the co-chair of the International Environmental Law section of the American branch of the International Law Association. He has published more than 80 articles and edited four books. His research focuses on climate geoengineering, the European Union’s emissions trading system, and the Paris Agreement.
