Tuition discounts will be applied when you transfer your CONTACT credits to the Peace and Justice Leadership master’s degree program. Your participation in CONTACT counts as the first residency of the MA program, so you can start the online portion of the program without returning to Vermont. Alumni who completed CONTACT for credit

Credit transfer

Students who have completed the CONTACT Program for credit within the past 10 years* are eligible to transfer all three of the CONTACT credit hours into the Peace and Justice Leadership master’s degree program and are granted a waiver for attending the first residency of the Peace and Justice Leadership program.

Tuition discount

Students transferring CONTACT credits into the Peace and Justice Leadership degree will get a tuition discount proportional to 3 credits of program costs.


Alumni who completed the CONTACT certificate

Credit transfer

Students who have completed the CONTACT certificate within the past 10 years* are eligible to transfer 14 credit hours of their Certificate work into the SIT’s Peace and Justice Leadership degree.

Tuition discount

Student’s transferring certificate credits into the Peace and Justice Leadership degree will get a tuition discount proportional to 14 credits of program costs.


* For students who completed the CONTACT program more than 5 years earlier than proposed enrollment date, a waiver of the 5 year transfer rule will be granted, provided that the student demonstrate continued professional activity in the peace and justice field.
