Kathryn comes to SIT from Kean University in New Jersey, where she was director of the Writing Center and an English Department instructor. She holds a PhD and an MA in English from Drew University, and a BA in English from Brigham Young University.
“We’re extremely pleased to have Kathryn joining us,” said SIT President Sophia Howlett. “She brings considerable experience in assessment, classroom-based tutoring, online tutoring as well as composition knowledge in basic writing and multimodal composing.”
At SIT, Kathryn will oversee the office of the registrar, the Donald B. Watt Memorial Library, the Language and Culture Department, assessment, online learning and all activities related to New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) accreditation.
“It's an honor to be joining the SIT community, with its rich tradition in fostering responsible and responsive global citizenship,” Kathryn said. “I am looking forward to working with the talented and dedicated faculty and professional staff and supporting their efforts to offer students a transformative education.”
