Practicums & Internships
Practica are offered at a variety of institutions including NGOs, schools, nonprofits, and more.
SIT graduate degree programs are designed to bridge theory and practice. Initial exploration and application of key concepts and theories takes place in team and individual projects within the program coursework. The practicum/internship provides the opportunity to connect this theoretical knowledge with the work you are doing in the field.
The practicum/internship is designed to be mutually beneficial to the host organization and the student. The nature of the work must be at a professional level, relevant to your degree, in an intercultural setting, and consistent with SIT’s mission of contributing to the global community.
