Simon ‘Si’ Norton has been senior director of the World Learning / School for International Training (SIT) Youth Programs and the Vermont Governor’s Institute on Current Issues and Youth Activism for the past 16 years. He has directed experiential global education programs since 1992 and currently runs some 30 programs and trainings each year with more than 1,200 youth and adults from around the world. Si is an accomplished teacher, trainer and facilitator of:

  • youth education programs
  • program/project design, delivery, and management
  • risk management, safety and health issues on education programs
  • leadership & teambuilding
  • global issues, civics, and activism with a special focus on global children’s issues
  • peacebuilding and dialogue
  • communications skills and public speaking
  • adventure/outdoor education

Si has worked with youth and youth educators from 155 countries and all 50 U.S. states, and has delivered youth programs and staff trainings in Uganda, Rwanda, Iraq, Serbia, Mexico, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Turkey, Ecuador, Australia, Panama, Ukraine, Tanzania, Denmark, and Germany.  He regularly delivers trainings for his own staff teams, as well as for other organizations including:
