US Japan Exchange & Teaching Programme Alumni Association (USJETAA)
SIT Graduate Institute has partnered with the US Japan Exchange & Teaching Programme Alumni Assocation (USJETAA) to provide financial assistance to JET Programme alumni interested in pursuing a graduate degree at SIT. This partnership highlights the visions and values of both organizations in integrating the power of education as a tool to promote greater understanding across cultures. The partnership will help bring individuals with experience living and teaching in Japan to SIT Graduate Institute.
SIT will commit to providing 30% tuition scholarships for eligible JET alumni. SIT will also waive the application fee of $50 for JET alumni.
- Applicant must have obtained a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- JET Program alumni and current JETs who are accepted into an SIT master’s degree program and have completed at least one year of teaching with the JET Program are eligible.
- JET alumni applying to SIT and seeking to take advantage of any financial aid offered will be required to submit, along with their other necessary application documents, a Certificate of Participation issued by the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR), available through CLAIR’s New York office by going to their website (www.jlgc.org), as verification of their participation in the JET Program.
