Anabel Camacho is an English teacher and teacher trainer from the Dominican Republic. She holds a bachelor’s and a master’s in marketing from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (2007) and INTEC Santo Domingo (2012) respectively, and in 2013 she received a Postgraduate Program in Teaching English from UNICDA. Anabel is a licensed trainer for SIT TESOL Certificate course and is currently enrolled in a low-residency master’s degree program at Marlboro College in Brattleboro, Vermont. Anabel has taught language arts/literature for elementary and middle school kids and has taught English to teenagers and adults of different backgrounds. Her interests in the field focus on seeing learning/teaching from the learner’s perspective as well as cultivating a safe environment that allows meaningful and lasting experiences for the classroom. Since 2017, she has served as an instructional coach for the Instituto Cultural Dominico Americano, where she designs and implements coaching programs for more than 50 teachers that involve training, observing, and providing feedback to teachers of both English and Spanish curricular areas.
