Program Deposit & Payment

To secure your place in the incoming class, pay your $400 (global master’s) or $600 (doctoral) nonrefundable deposit through your application/admissions portal within two weeks of your financial aid award notification. You can also contact SIT Student Accounts to pay your deposit over the phone. Within the US: 800 336-1616 | Outside the US: 802 258-3510

In addition to paying the deposit, international students are required to submit their Certificate of Finances by March 15. See additional details.

Full payment instructions, including methods and deadlines, can be viewed here.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

As part of SIT’s commitment to student success, all students are considered for scholarships to support their studies upon admission into one of our graduate programs. If you received a scholarship offer, follow the instructions in the notification email to accept the award(s) in Self Service.

U.S. students and permanent residents may apply for federal student loans. Please visit the Financial Aid section of the website for additional information.

Visas

International students whose program requires travel to the US, will need to obtain an F1 visa. Students whose programs require global travel may be required to secure a visa for the countries they will visit. Visa requirements processes vary by country. In any case, students will work with an admissions counselor to obtain documents needed to pursue a visa if needed.

Student Health Safety and Well-being

SIT Graduate Institute is committed to the health and safety of all program participants. Through our years of experience, we have found that preparation, prevention, and communication are key to keeping students healthy and safe. The Student Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Office is a resource available to all students. We encourage you to reach out with any questions or concerns related to managing your medical or mental health abroad, insurance, safety or security concerns, or questions about accessibility.

For all admitted students participating in a Global Master’s program, a health review will be conducted. This process helps determine whether a student has any health issues that may require support in a particular program setting.

Students are required to complete a self-disclosure form to communicate any key information related to medical or mental health. The Personal Health History form should be completed in your online confirmation materials portal and is due no later than May 15.

Please find more information about the health review process in the Student Health Safety & Wellbeing section of your pre-program documents.

Note: The health form requirement is ONLY for Global Master’s programs
